Springfield Cardinals (AA): Despite home runs (solo shots) by Jose Martinez and Mark Shorey, the AA-Cards dropped one to the Arkansas Travelers 4-2 at Hammons Field last night.

Jess Todd suffered the loss, his record now at 3-4. Todd gave up all four of the Travelers runs over his 4.1 innings or starting work. Todd walked only one while striking out six.

Martinez went 3-for-4 on the day, with the home run and a double.
